We hope that all our friends and families come to see us the show next week on either Tuesday or Thursday night at 6pm. We can't wait for you to see us perform!!

Thank you Mrs R.P!!

On Friday we said goodbye to Mrs. R.P who has been with us for the last five weeks. We are lucky to have had her teach us and we wish her well for the rest of her training to be a teacher. She has promised she will come back and visit us after she has had her baby in September.

Kind Kenny

We have made a giant in our classroom out of boxes. He loves everything about New Zealand and has a pet buzzy bee on his shoulder.

Our Super Sunnybee Writer of the Week is Abbie
Kind Kenny likes eating hokey pokey ice cream, pavlova and kiwifruit. He likes silver ferns and sheep. He used to live on a farm but now he lives in our classroom. I love him. We know he lives on a farm because he is wearing farm clothes. He has a red and black t-shirt, and gumboots. He has a pet bumble bee. It is red, yellow, blue and black. He is a nice giant and he has spiky hair.

Magic Mic's!!

At reading time when we aren't with the teacher reading our new book for the day we are doing independent activities. One of the newest activities is using a Magic Mic. We put on a funny hat and glasses and use our 'microphone' to practise reading stories from our folders. We are practising so that next term we can read our stories using a flip video to record us. All of these video recordings will be put on our blog.

Music with Mr. Ramsay

Today we used different instruments and our voices to perform for Mrs. Blair. She thought we were so good that you would like to see our performance as well.

Watch our Beanstalk Dance!

As part of our unit on fairytales we have dance and drama sessions responding to the story that we are focusing on for the week. Last week and next week we are looking at giants and the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We have written stories about giants we have made a cardboard giant and we are learning to retell the story of Jack and the Beanstalk through our fairytale storyboards. On Monday we responded to the music we heard by growing like a beanstalk from the seed sprouting to the beanstalk standing tall and strong.
